WHAT A FRIGHT

The site is aimed about at 6 - 9 year olds and promotes a  better understanding of the importance to know oneself, our feelings, our behaviors.

The interactive activities offered on the site will give children and teachers a way to speak about common worries many children have and a suggestion to increase speaking/writing/drawing abilities.

Children can watch three animated stories, play some exercises, write their experiences and draw.

LEARNING OUTCOMES

Children will be able to:

  • know feelings
  • improve self-control
  • communicate feelings
  • know how to chase away the fear
  • draw, write, speak properly about themself
  • share experiences
  • solve problems

Children should be given opportunities to:

  • Find out and manage information (PLAN) - explore using a computer or a video projector, ask questions and record as appropriate (e.g. write them), find and use information, communicate their thoughts and experiences and decide on how to present them.
  • Explore and Investigate (DO) – share experiences about their worries and find out solutions in order to chase away the fear (create individual or group responses).
  • Think about their learning (REVIEW) – think about what they have thought, considering ways to improve their way to communicate and discuss what they have done.
